The packaging and label design process is a field of graphic design that requires a precise balance of aesthetics and rigorous technical standards. Below is a summary of our projects, which include box designs, various types of product packaging, and labels featuring diverse design solutions.
Creating a professional packaging design relies primarily on proper preparation for printing (DTP). The starting point is always the die-cut grid, on which the graphics are applied. It's essential to accurately plan bleeds, consider safety margins, and mark gluing and creasing (fold) areas. Proper technical preparation ensures that the box design visible on the screen will fully correspond to the printed box.
Product labels are governed by similar printing laws. They often require consideration of the specific print substrate (e.g., textured paper, transparent PP/PE foil) and planning for finishing touches such as spot UV varnish or hot stamping. Furthermore, all packaging and label designs must have an appropriate color profile (CMYK or Pantone) and meet strict standards regarding font size and barcode scaling to ensure the product complies with market standards.
